Job summary

Ecobat in Middletown, NY is seeking a Crystallizer Operator to work with the Crystallizer system and ensure sodium sulfate solution from the scrubber is converted to anhydrous crystals and recyclable condensate in a safe, compliant manner.

The role involves loading product into containers, maintaining logs, and performing routine maintenance and inspections. Candidates must have a valid US driver’s license, experience with heavy equipment, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Possess a valid US Driver’s License.
• Experience driving heavy equipment.
• Computer skills (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Operates pumps, valves, conveyors, controls, meters, gauges and all equipment associated with the processes.
• Collects and analyzes samples; observes readings and makes control adjustments to stay safe, efficient and compliant.
• Make necessary control adjustments to maintain efficiency and environmental compliance.
• Maintain daily shift reports, inspections, process logs and production logs.
• Operate mobile equipment including Forklift, Shuttle Wagon, Yard Truck, Roll-off Truck, MC Cart, Man Lift and Skid Steer.
• Report missing or damaged signs and ensure replacements.
• Ensure backup is assigned for inspections and document deficiencies.
• Understand internal customer/supplier relationships affecting the Crystallizer and other departments.
• Contain and clean up materials to minimize spread during repairs.
• Report materials used to maintain stock levels.
• Keep work area neat and free of debris per lean manufacturing.
• Address EH&S issues promptly and notify supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
