Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Security Engineer in Chicago to support cryptography, encryption, and enterprise key management across large-scale environments. The role focuses on HSM and KMS administration, data protection, and cryptographic controls.

Required experience includes HSM technologies, KMIP, PKCS#11, and cloud security services, with automation via PowerShell or Python. This is a contract position onsite in Chicago, IL.

Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise cryptographic infrastructure and key lifecycle management.
• Hands-on work with HSMs and KMIP/PKCS#11 cryptographic APIs.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows administration.
• Automation skills with PowerShell and/or Python.
• Familiarity with cloud security services and containerized environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support cryptographic services and key management platforms.
• Administer and maintain HSM and KMS solutions, including key lifecycles.
• Implement encryption, tokenization, and data protection controls.
• Collaborate with application, cloud, and security teams on cryptographic requirements.
• Automate operational tasks using PowerShell and Python.
• Support platform upgrades, patches, vulnerability remediation, and compliance.
