Job summary

3M is seeking a Cryptographic Engineer to manage encryption keys, PKI services, and related certificate platforms. You will oversee AWS-hosted key/certificate infrastructures, ESKM, CTM, ADCS, Venafi, and integration with ACM/KMS/Azure Key Vault.

The role requires strong cryptography knowledge, scripting (PowerShell/Python), and collaboration with IT and security teams. On-site work locations include Maplewood, MN or Austin, TX, with up to 15% travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 8 years in IT/CS/Engineering/Info Security in private/public/government/military environment.
• Bachelor's degree with 6 years in IT/CS/Engineering/Info Security in private/public/government/military environment.
• Proven experience with AWS as an engineer/architect.
• Experience managing encryption platforms like ESKM and CTM.
• Experience PKI with ADCS.
• Experience with ACM, AWS KMS and Azure Key Vault.
• Experience with Venafi.
• Strong cryptographic principles knowledge.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot operational issues for encryption key and certificate tools/services.
• Respond to client requests for encryption keys and digital certificates with on-call support.
• Manage AWS hosted platforms for encryption keys and digital certificates including installs, patches, upgrades, backups, data migrations.
• Manage ESKM and CipherTrust Manager platforms.
• Manage ADCS PKI platform including certificate authorities and device enrollment.
• Manage Venafi platform for certificate management.
• Collaborate with cloud platform teams for ACM, KMS and Azure Key Vault.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
