Job summary

MANTECH seeks a motivated Cryptographic Software Engineer in Linthicum Heights, MD, to join our team and protect secure systems. You will support the Cryptographic Solutions Program and MPO network security products, delivering robust cryptographic software across platforms and environments.

Responsibilities include designing secure software, implementing cryptographic primitives, and enhancing test suites for reliability. Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 14+ years of software and/or security engineering experience (or 18+ years without a degree).
• Proficiency in systems-level programming languages, specifically C, C++, or Rust, for high-assurance cryptographic software development.

• Deliver cryptographic solutions and cybersecurity analysis to strengthen security posture, testing, and IC deployments.
• Engineer high-assurance data protection systems and secure computing architectures for critical national security infrastructure.

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Cryptographic Software Engineer to join our team in Linthicum Heights, MD.

This role protects secure systems by providing expert engineering support for the Cryptographic Solutions Program and MPO's network security products.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Architect robust cryptographic software using functional and multi-paradigm design patterns, validated by comprehensive unit, integration, and system-level test suites.
• Develop cross-platform desktop and server applications, leveraging containerization, automated deployment pipelines, and low-level network tools.
• Implement cryptographic primitives and secure protocols (e.g., PKI, symmetric/asymmetric ciphers, cryptographic hashing, and low-level TCP/IP stacks) into production systems.
• Deliver cryptographic solutions and cybersecurity analysis to strengthen security posture, testing, and certification for Intelligence Community (IC) deployments.
• Engineer high-assurance data protection systems and secure computing architectures to safeguard critical national security infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline and 14+ years of software and/or security engineering experience (or 18+ years without a degree).
• Proficiency in systems-level programming languages, specifically C, C++, or Rust, for high-assurance cryptographic software development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-grade network encryptors, Key Management Infrastructure, and secure key distribution protocols.
• Direct background supporting IC or DoD cryptographic engineering, evaluation, or system certification initiatives.

Clearance Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
• Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
