Job summary

CACI International Inc in Springfield, VA, seeks a Crypto Engineer to support WAN/LAN/CAN networks and cryptographic operations. You will install and maintain encryption devices and related management software across multiple security domains.

Requires a CS degree, active TS/SCI clearance, and IAT2 (Security+). Strong writing and presentation skills and familiarity with GEM ONE, CHM, and VINE are desired. Expect up to 10% travel and on-site work in the Washington, DC area.

Qualifications

• Experience with encryption managers: GEM ONE, CHM, VIASAT VINE.
• System maintenance, monitoring and installation across WAN/LAN environments across multiple platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network media and components.
• Monitor health and performance of communications security services and management software.

The Opportunity

Team CACI has an exciting and challenging opportunity available for a Crypto Engineer. You will support an Intelligence Community customer’s wide-area (WAN), local-area (LAN) and campus-area (CAN) networks across multiple security domains. Focus will be on preforming COMSEC, cryptologic duties to include operation and maintenance of encryption devices. Experience in complex telecommunications applications involving all phases of telecommunications network design, implementation, and analysis. Demonstrated knowledge in communications security for monitoring, operating and maintaining cryptographic devices. Performs research, requirements analysis, design, installation, troubleshooting, and support of local- and wide-area network hardware, software and applications. Can install and configure WAN and LAN hardware to include cryptographic, voice, video, and data cable systems.

• Will have experience with the following encryption device managers: - General Dynamics GEM ONE - L-3 Common HAIPE Manager (CHM) - VIASAT VINE
• System maintenance, monitoring and installation of multiple WAN/LAN environments encompassing multiple specializations, platforms and technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network media and components.
• Monitor health and performance of the communications security services including hardware and management software.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• DOD 8570 IAT2 level certification (Security +)
• Security Clearance: active TS/SCI, eligibility to take and pass a CI polygraph.
• Ability to work independently with little direction and guidance.
• Ability to work weekends and evening hours as needed.
• Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents and present oral presentations

The Proposed Salary Range For This Position Is

$86,600 - $181,800
