Job summary

eToro Group in Malta seeks an AML Compliance Analyst to join the Second Line of Defence. You will provide independent oversight of the AML/CFT framework focusing on crypto-asset activities regulated under MiCA and Maltese law.

You will assist the MLRO and liaise with FIAU and MFSA while enhancing risk-based controls. The role involves reviewing escalations, performing risk assessments, and supporting investigations with AI-enabled monitoring tools.

Qualifications

Experience in AML/CFT compliance and financial crime risk management.
Familiarity with crypto-asset regulations such as MiCA.
Ability to perform suspicious activity assessments and prepare STRs/SARs.

Responsibilities

Review AML escalations from First Line, including high-risk customers and crypto-related cases.
Assess risks involving PEPs, sanctions and crypto service providers.
Use AI-enabled tools to enhance monitoring and investigations.
Support MLRO with suspicious activity assessments and drafting STRs/SARs.
Maintain AML/CFT policies and standards to ensure regulatory compliance.
Oversee outsourced AML services and screening providers.
Monitor regulatory developments and impact on the control framework.
Prepare management and Board reporting on AML findings.
Assist regulatory examinations and remediation projects.
