Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Facilities Engineer (Fluids & Cryogenics) at the Starlink Production facility in Redmond, Washington. You will design, install, and maintain compressed air and cryogenic systems, collaborate with controls and electrical teams, and drive reliability across utility systems.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 1+ years of experience with industrial utility systems, with opportunities for advancement and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of professional experience with compressed air systems, cryogenic systems, and other industrial utility systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, installation, and maintenance of industrial compressed air systems.
• Lead design, installation and maintenance of industrial cryogenic systems.
• Support operation and maintenance of plant utility systems, including pumps, chillers, and RO skids.
• Perform equipment sizing, selection, and engineering calculations.
• Assist in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment failures and safety concerns.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to improve reliability.
• Collaborate with controls, automation, and electrical teams to integrate mechanical equipment with PLC/SCADA/BMS platforms.
• Manage contractors and vendors for maintenance activities and capital projects.
