Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Cryogenic Trailer Painter I to prepare, paint, and finish trailer surfaces in a manufacturing environment in Lafayette, IN. The role focuses on quality finishes, safety, and proper use of spray equipment and refinish tools.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, experience in automotive painting or refinishing, and a strong attention to detail. The position requires PPE use and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Experience in automotive painting, refinishing, or collision repair is preferred.
• Knowledge of paint mixing and finishing processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Wash and prep trailer parts before blasting.
• Hang and paint small trailer parts.
• Sand parts and trailers to prepare for paint.
• Inspect surfaces for defects and ensure high-quality finish.
• Repair minor surface imperfections, including scratches and dents.
• Maintain painting equipment, spray booths, and tools.
