Job summary

Linde plc. Burns Harbor, IN is seeking a Class A OTR Tanker Driver to safely transport industrial gases to customer sites, including government facilities, with a strong emphasis on safety and DOT compliance.

Responsibilities include pre-trip and post-trip inspections, drop-and-hook, hose connections, monitoring pressure and temperature, maintaining logs, and ensuring proper hazmat procedures. Training provided and benefits start promptly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of tractor-trailer driving or 2+ years tanker trailer experience
• Willingness to operate as an OTR driver
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid CDL Class A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements

Responsibilities

• Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Trailer coupling and uncoupling (drop and hook) when needed
• Connect and disconnect transfer hoses, ensuring secure couplings and proper handling of cryogenic tanks, hoses, and fittings
• Monitor pressure levels and temperature readings during delivery to ensure safe unloading
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols during loading, unloading, and handling of cryogenic gases
• Ensure hazardous material shipping orders/papers are in accordance with DOT regulations
• Maintain accurate shipping documentation, logbooks, and records in compliance with DOT and company policies
• Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance
• Maintain a professional partnership with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customer needs
• Continuously building your knowledge on how Linde’s business operates and succeeds to help organization to continue growing
• Other duties as assigned
