Job summary

Maybell Quantum in Denver, CO is seeking an experienced Cryogenic Scientist to lead the design and manufacture of cryogenic hardware, with a strong focus on dilution refrigerators. The role involves advancing research into rapid prototyping and deployment.

You will work across cryogenic, electrical and software teams to deliver integrated products, test modifications, and improve performance, efficiency and manufacturability in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• 5-8 years designing, building, or significantly modifying dilution refrigerators.
• Self-starter with ability to drive results independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the conception, design, development and manufacture of cryogenic hardware.
• Design and conduct experiments to test modifications to existing components and prototypes to increase performance, efficiency, and manufacturability.
• Partner with engineers to translate innovations into functional prototypes and production-ready products.
• Work across functional areas (cryogenic, electrical, software) to deliver fully integrated products.
