Job summary

Acceler8Talent is partnering with a well-funded AI hardware startup to hire a Photonics Test Development Engineer in Boulder, CO. You will own end-to-end optical test development for cryogenic photonic networks, design and automate test systems, and develop fiber-to-chip coupling workflows.

You will characterize passive and active photonic devices and drive data management and reporting to design teams. This hands-on role offers strong ownership in a fast-moving R&D setting with cross-functional

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics, Photonics, or related field.
• Hands-on experience designing, assembling, and automating optical test setups.
• Experience characterizing photonic or optoelectronic devices.
• Knowledge of laser device physics and laser characterization.
• Strong Python for test automation and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end optical test development for cryogenic photonic networks.
• Design, build, and automate optical, electrical, and optoelectronic test systems.
• Develop automated fiber-to-chip coupling workflows.
• Characterize passive SiN photonic components and related metrics.
• Characterize active photonic devices including lasers and detectors.
• Document methodologies and present findings to teams.
