Job summary

Anduril Industries in Lexington, MA is seeking a Wire Bonding Technician to join the Imaging team. You will package and wire bond infrared image sensors in a clean room, handle silicon wafers, and test sensor assemblies with precision equipment.

You will work with engineers to inspect, test, and validate sensor chips, while operating custom test gear to collect image data in a controlled environment. A strong microelectronics background and fine motor skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with precision test and measurement equipment.
• Experience collecting data from devices under test (DUTs) using test equipment.
• Experience handling delicate hardware such as microelectronics assemblies and performing ultra fine motor skill tasks.
• Willingness to work a 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM standard shift.
• U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data.

Responsibilities

• Package, test and wire bond custom infrared image sensors in a clean room environment.
• Handle and test silicon wafers in automated probe test station.
• Wire bond image sensors into custom ceramic packages using a wire ball bonder.
• Conduct visual and electrical inspection of fully packaged sensor chip assemblies (SCAs).
• Install SCA into liquid nitrogen high vacuum test station.
• Carry out tasks predominantly in the cleanroom.
• Operate custom test equipment to collect image data using automated tools.
