Job summary

GENERAL DISTRIBUTING CO in Great Falls, MT is hiring a Cryogenic Liquid Delivery Specialist. This full-time role requires a valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements to safely transport oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide to hospitals, restaurants, and industrial clients.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, load and unload cryogenic freight, maintain delivery logs, and ensure DOT safety compliance while delivering excellent customer service and accurate records.

The Cryogenic Liquid Delivery Specialist with a Class A CDL, Hazmat and Tanker endorsement is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of Cryogenic Liquid Oxygen, Nitrogen and Carbon Dioxide to a diverse range of customers, including hospitals, restaurants, breweries, and industrial clients. This role involves ensuring the secure handling and delivery of hazardous materials in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. The Cryogenic Liquid Delivery Specialist is expected to provide excellent customer service, maintain accurate delivery records, and contribute to the overall efficiency and safety of the delivery operations.

• Safe Delivery: Safely transport and deliver cryogenic liquids to customers in a timely manner while adhering to all safety protocols and DOT regulations.
• Load and Unload: Properly load and unload various bulk deliveries at customer locations, ensuring all deliveries are completed accurately and without damage.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and overall vehicle condition. Report any issues to the maintenance team.
• Documentation: Accurately complete delivery logs, customer receipts, and other required documentation. Ensure all paperwork is properly submitted at the end of each shift.
• Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers, answering questions, and addressing any delivery-related concerns.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure compliance with all company and regulatory safety standards.
• Hazardous Materials Handling: Safely handle and transport hazardous materials (Hazmat), including proper loading, securing, and unloading procedures in accordance with Hazmat regulations.
• Route Management: Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, considering traffic conditions, customer priorities, and delivery deadlines.
• Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to and manage any emergency situations, such as product leaks or vehicle breakdowns, in a professional and effective manner.

Qualifications: Competencies

• Safety-Oriented: Strong commitment to safety, with knowledge of DOT regulations and hazardous materials handling procedures.
• Customer Service: Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
• Clean Driving Record: Must have a clean driving record with no major violations.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately complete paperwork and follow delivery procedures.

Required education and experience.

Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL): Must possess a valid Class A CDL.

Preferred education and experience

• Hazmat Endorsement – We are willing to train and assist in acquiring necessary endorsements for the right candidate.
