Job summary

Airgas in Kingsport, TN is seeking a Field Service Technician to install and maintain nitrogen on-site generation equipment and cryogenic bulk installations. You will respond to emergencies and support 24/7 on-call coverage.

The role requires high mechanical aptitude, a high school diploma, and hands-on experience with cryogenic systems, piping, and electrical controls. Training and certification opportunities are provided, with strong safety and compliance expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Brazer Certificate within 30 days of employment (training provided).
• 2+ years of industrial field service experience.
• NFPA 99 and NFPA 55 knowledge.
• Experience with cryogenic equipment, piping and compressors.

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains nitrogen on-site generation equipment.
• Installs cryogenic bulk installations at Airgas facilities and customer sites.
• Responds to emergencies 24 hours per day.
• Repairs pressure reduction equipment for bulk delivery systems.
• Troubleshoots electrical systems including motor controls and relays.
• Performs site surveys to ensure compliance with codes.
• Maintains safety policies and keeps spare parts on hand.
