Job summary

Airgas in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Field Service Technician to install and maintain on-site nitrogen generation plants and bulk medical or industrial gas systems. Role requires safe operation, adherence to codes, and collaboration with teams to support customer installations.

You will inspect electrical systems, piping, and alarms, perform site surveys, and ensure proper safety measures while supporting Cryogenic equipment and pressure piping tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have, or be able to obtain, a Certified Brazer Certificate within 30 days of employment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• HVAC or refrigeration certification or ASSE Medical Gas Credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and service on-site nitrogen generation plants and bulk gas systems in compliance with codes and Airgas policies.
• Collaborate on nitrogen on-site generation equipment installations and cryogenic bulk installations at Airgas facilities and customer sites.
• Perform periodic maintenance on N2 generation equipment per PM schedules to ensure reliability.
• Conduct site surveys and ensure safety, proper hazard identification, and lockout/tagout procedures are followed.
• Read blueprints and manufacturer drawings for bulk delivery sites and perform regulator repairs as needed.
