Job summary

Flowserve seeks a Cryo Test Technician to run shifts handling LNG pump testing, piping and valve alignment, and PLC-controlled operations. You will manage pneumatic tests, calibrate gauges, and ensure all documentation is completed accurately.

You will work with engineering and assembly teams to resolve issues, follow safety procedures, and use lifting equipment as needed. Long shifts and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED plus 3–5 years relevant experience as a baseline.
• Experience reading and interpreting P&ID and prints.
• Experience with valve/piping systems and PLC operations.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Direct shift operations for LNG pump testing and related processes.
• Control PLC parameters via computer interface and monitor system readings.
• Inspect, repair, and assemble components; complete required documentation.
• Coordinate with service engineering, assembly, and operations on instrumentation needs.

Role Summary:The Cryo Test Technician is responsible for directing a shift with all processes related to installation and removal of submersible LNG pumps. System operations to include filling, testing, transfer and purging with. Alignment of piping systems with both manual valves and PLC controlled valves. Alignment of electrical switchgear and operations of medium voltage generators. Troubleshooting any problems while LNG is present or circulating through the system. The CTT will work with Assembly and Engineering departments to execute work as provided on work instructions, routers, drawings, and checklists. The CTT independently selects and uses proper rigging equipment for any heavy overhead lifting operations. This position also ensures all forms and documentation are complete prior to beginning every evolution during the daily process of pump testing. The CTT will also be responsible for assisting with maintenance requirements of valves, piping and auxiliary rotating equipment, and ensure all are appropriately labeled per the plant P&ID.Responsibilities & Requirements:- Control system parameters while monitoring and operating the PLC through the computer interface.- Follow pre-job brief, daily schedule, and checklists prior to performance testing.- Ability to independently, inspect, repair, and assemble, components and equipment, and accurately complete all required documentation.- Interface with service engineering, assembly and operations to discuss the condition of all critical components when applicable.- Follow all safety and operation procedures.- Significant experience with the proper and safe use of various common power and pneumatic hand tools needed for assembly.- Conduct low pressure pneumatic tests on piping systems.- Accurately set up and read precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and other gauges.- Understand process safety management and ensure all operations are conducted with these procedures.- Communicate clearly to peers and supervisors any related job issues.- Coordinate and interface with engineers on required instrumentation.- Paint when required, tag, and prep equipment.- Utilize cranes, lifting devices, and fork trucks.- Willing to provide input on work process improvement and on developing new tools and hardware as part of on-going Continuous Improvement projects.- Work safely while helping colleagues work safely and utilizing Stop Work Authority when appropriate.- Ability to understand work instructions, safety procedures, and company policies.- Comply with all Flowserve policies and procedures.-Track liquid levels daily and report daily loss for project tracking.- Able to read and interpret prints, shop drawings, assembly checklists, and other written work instructions.- Basic computer skills including understanding of Microsoft Office Package- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and changing work environment.- Attention to detail and process-oriented mindset with results driven background.- Experience reading and understanding piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds with a full range of hand and upper-body motion to work with tools and parts.- Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as the business dictates.- Other duties as assigned.Preferred Experience / Skills:-Strong leadership skills.- Valve automation experience.- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.- Excellent organizational skills, able to problem solve, and prioritize work assignments.- Prior experience working in fast-paced and unpredictable environments.- Demonstrate a desire for personal growth and career development.- HS Diploma / GED and 3-5 years relevant experience
