Job summary

RMS, Inc in Paramount, CA is hiring CRV Field Technicians to undergo comprehensive training and support CRV Project Operations. You will drive to routes, load and unload CRV materials, and perform light maintenance on RVMs at sponsored locations while representing the company in the field.

You may operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks at the Hub, maintain records of materials received and shipped, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize Hub operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift bags up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive company van/box truck on scheduled routes through Los Angeles County cities.
• Pick up CRV/recycling and load it into the vehicle.
• Unload bags of recycling at the Hub and processing facilities.
• Service and provide light maintenance to RVM machines at participating stores.
• Ensure compliance with CRV regulations for handling, tracking, and aggregating recyclable materials.
• Maintain records of CRV materials processed and shipped from the Hub.

Job description

CRVCONNX is a workforce development project funded by CalRecycle. The CRV CONNX program is scheduled to continue through Spring 2026.

CRV CONNX is looking to hire CRV Field Technician(s) to undergo comprehensive training and work across all aspects of our CRV Project Operations.

As a CRV Field Technician, you will be responsible for gathering CRV materials from various sources, including RVM machines, participating grocers/retailers, events, and more. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the efficient collection and transportation of recyclable materials, contributing directly to our commitment to environmental sustainability and supporting our customers.

Out in the field:

Your responsibilities include driving to pre-determined routes, loading & unloading recycling materials into the van/box truck. You will also provide light-duty maintenance on the RVMs that are stationed at our participating sponsored locations. Ultimately, you will be the face of our CRV project while serving our customers out in the field.

At the Hub:

You may operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks to handle and transport CRV beverage containers within the Hub. Ensure compliance with CRV regulations and protocols for handling, sorting, tracking, and aggregating recyclable materials. Maintain accurate records of CRV materials received and shipped from the Hub. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize Hub operations.

Summary of Responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):

Requirements

• 2+ years of customer service experience
• To be considered for this role, you must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record with no or minimal traffic moving violations.
• Ability to lift bags of recycled items, up to 50lbs

Physical Demands

• Employees may occasionally experience prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, standing at the Hub’s sorting tables, or standing at events.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• May work evening or weekend hours to accommodate activities such as servicing RVM machines or participating in events.
• We provide our company vehicles, but CRV Field Technician(s) must remain calm in stressful driving situations (traffic, etc.).
