Job summary

Southeast Road Builders (SERB), part of Colaska Inc., seeks a Crusher Operator/Foreman to safely operate and supervise portable and stationary crushing plants. You will oversee daily operations, equipment performance, and crew direction to meet production and quality goals.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of crushing plant experience, supervisory skills, and strong knowledge of crushing systems. CDL/CDL with MHSA and welding/fabrication experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of crushing plant experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or foreman experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of crushing, screening and conveying systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues.
• Knowledge of aggregate production and quality control practices.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to read equipment manuals and SOPs.
• Self-directed, results-driven with minimal guidance.
• Proven track record of a safe work culture.

Responsibilities

• Operate and oversee crushing, screening, conveying and material-handling equipment.
• Monitor plant production and adjust equipment settings to meet production rates and specs.
• Coordinate daily crushing activities and work schedules.
• Coordinate with quality control personnel and project staff as required.
• Complete daily production reports and operation logs.
• Lead, direct and train crusher crew members.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor crew performance.
• Conduct safety meetings and enforce safety policies.
• Communicate production goals and issues to management.
• Promote teamwork and a positive work environment.
• Perform daily inspection of crushers, screens, conveyors, loaders, and support equipment.
• Identify and report mechanical issues.
• Coordinate and assist with preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain equipment records and service documentation.
• Ensure proper lubrication, cleaning and upkeep of plant equipment.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA / MSHA and company safety standards.
• Conduct pre-shift inspections and hazard assessments.
• Ensure all crew members use PPE.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and shut down situations.
