Job summary

Black Rock Crushing in Ramseur, NC is seeking a Crushing Foreman to lead daily plant operations, coordinate crew activities, and ensure safe, efficient use of crushers, loaders and support equipment.

You will train and mentor crew members, enforce safety protocols, complete logs and reports, and drive continuous improvement in quality, safety and productivity across the site.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated supervisory experience overseeing crews.

Role Description

The Crushing Foreman is a full-time, hybrid role based in Ramseur, NC. This role oversees daily crushing operations, including organising crew activities, monitoring production, and ensuring safe and efficient use of heavy equipment and plant machinery. The Crushing Foreman coordinates material flow, inspects equipment, and works with maintenance teams to schedule and verify repairs that minimise downtime. The position includes training and mentoring crew members, enforcing safety protocols and site procedures, and maintaining clear communication with management, customers, and transportation teams. The Crushing Foreman also completes daily logs, production reports, and incident documentation, while supporting continuous improvement efforts in quality, safety, and operational performance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated supervisory skills, including crew leadership, task delegation, and performance feedback.


• Experience operating or overseeing heavy equipment such as crushers, loaders, excavators, and related support machinery.


• Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members, management, and customers, both verbally and in writing.


• Basic carpentry and mechanical maintenance skills to support minor repairs, adjustments, and site setup as needed.


• Knowledge of maintenance principles for crushing plants and mobile equipment, including preventive maintenance planning.


• Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in construction, mining, or aggregate environments; commitment to a safety-first culture.


• Ability to work in outdoor, industrial environments, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.


• Valid driver's license; willingness to travel to job sites as required.


• Prior experience in crushing, aggregates, construction, or related industries is strongly preferred.


• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in heavy equipment, safety, or construction are a plus.
