Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Crushing & Conveying Operator at the Cortez Mine Site to support the CHAP crushers and ensure optimal operating performance. The role involves operating plant equipment, loaders, and performing maintenance during downtime to sustain productivity.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and be prepared for physically demanding work in a mining environment. This on-site position emphasizes safety, housekeeping, and adherence to site procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience working in mining or industrial environments preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding labor, including shoveling and raking debris.
• Familiarity with conveyor systems and guarding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clean-up activities during scheduled downs
• Remove and reinstall conveyor guarding as required to safely access clean-up areas
• Shovel, rake, and hose debris from beneath the belt line
• Stage all cleaned material in designated open crosscuts
• Operate hand tools and cleaning equipment as required
• Operate a skid steer when necessary to support clean-up activities
• Follow all site safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and work standards
• Maintain good housekeeping practices to support safe operations
