Job summary

Power Equipment Company is seeking a skilled service technician to repair and overhaul crushing and screening equipment at customer sites. You will diagnose issues, replace worn parts, and ensure machines operate leak-free and safely.

Travelling to job sites, you will troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics, and mechanical systems, maintaining safety and quality. A technical degree or equivalent, plus 3+ years in the field, is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with crushing and screening equipment in a recycling, quarry, or mine environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; able to travel to job sites.
  • Proficient with diagnostic tools and manufacturer software; able to read schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repair work on crushing and screening equipment, from minor fixes to complete overhauls.
  • Troubleshoot issues, diagnose failures, check pressures/voltages, and locate sources of noise or leaks.
  • Disassemble, replace parts, reassemble, and verify operation with no leaks and full functionality.
  • Travel to jobsites, perform on-site service, and document work performed.
  • Maintain safety standards and clean, organized work environments; pass background and drug tests as required.

Job description

Job Summary: The technician will perform repair work on a wide variety of crushing and screening equipment ranging from complete machine overhauls to minor repairs such as fixing leaks, changing fluids and filters. Other types of repairs may include rebuild components such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic pumps. Installations may include setting up and calibrating crushers and screens; both mobile and stationary.Job Responsibilities:Perform daily and operational activities in the service department to include the following, but not limited to:Troubleshoot equipment problem/diagnose failurePerform diagnostic functions, check pressures, check voltage, locate source of noise or vibrationDisassemble machine, order parts, make repairs, assemble machine, check machine operation make sure repairs are complete and confirm problem is fixed unit has no leaks, and is work readyClean parts, scrape gaskets, prep for assemblyResponsible for a company vehicle and will travel dailyMaintain safety and cleanliness of work environmentTravel to jobsites and vendor training sessions as neededOvertime as neededMust have High School Diploma or equivalent, a 2 -year technical degree or comparable, military training is preferredMust have a minimum of 3 years experience with crushing and screening equipment utilized in a recycling operation, quarry or mine environment. Experience can include maintenance and or operation of crushers, screens and conveyors.Must have a valid driver's license and good driving recordExcellent written and oral communication and basic mathematical skills.Proficient with a computer, including the use of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and diagnostic use using manufacturer provided programs.Must have a good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions, electrical and hydraulic systems and how they are integratedAbility to stoop, kneel, push, pull, twist and carry and lift up to 70lbs.Ability to climb and perform work on heights up to 70 feet and higher.Able to work in all types of weather conditionsCapable of working with limited supervision / self-starterMaintain excellent customer serviceMust be able to pass a background, physical, and drug screen
