Job description

We are seeking a Crusher Operator to join our team!

This role involves safely operating machinery that conveys, washes, crushes, and screens aggregate to produce high-quality sand and gravel at optimal production levels. The ideal candidate will maintain a professional and courteous attitude with customers and team members. The position may also require operating a loader to feed conveyors or load trucks.

Salary Range: $25-35 per hour
Hours per Week: 40+
Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Perform daily equipment inspections and site walkarounds to identify and correct unsafe conditions and ensure proper maintenance.
  2. Perform maintenance on loaders, crushers, screens, and wash plants, including lubrication, fueling, cleaning, screen changes, manganese, and routine maintenance.
  3. Operate loaders and crushers, screens, or wash plants safely and properly.
  4. Operate additional company vehicles during crusher tear down, moves, and setup as needed. Identify and produce quality aggregate material per specifications.
  5. Coordinate with quality control personnel and adjust material blends as necessary.
  6. Shovel excess material away from equipment as needed.
  7. Conduct quality control sample testing, if required.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members and handle high-stress situations professionally. Maintain positive customer relations and demonstrate courteous behavior.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve operational or material quality issues, and discuss production problems with coworkers and supervisors.
  10. Manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently, maintaining organization and attention to detail.
  11. Complete crushing reports and documentation accurately.
  12. Ensure compliance with MSHA, EPA, DNR, safety, and environmental regulations.
  13. Operate skid steer for cleanup around equipment.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Valid driver's license in accordance with state regulations.
  2. Experience or knowledge in equipment maintenance and operation.
  3. Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, nights, and some Saturdays.
