Job summary

Knife River Corporation, one of the 10 largest construction materials producers and contractors in the country, seeks a Crusher Operator Laborer to safely operate equipment around crushing plants, feed stockpiles, and assist with operations at our job sites.

This role requires flexibility, the ability to perform maintenance, travel to job sites, and work overtime with some night and weekend shifts. Knife River is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a loader.
• Pipe laying experience.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
• Ability to handle and manipulate objects repetitively.
• Good vision and ability to distinguish back-up alarms, voices, and other sounds on construction sites.
• Dependability and ability to work safely.
• Environmental adaptability.
• Independent, self-motivated work ethic.
• Team player who can work with a diverse group toward a common goal.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights, and some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment for and around crushing plants to feed, stockpile, and clean up materials.
• Assist on crushing plant operations as needed.
• Shovel, grease, and perform maintenance on and around plant equipment.
• Be flexible with other tasks assigned by supervisors.
• Perform manual labor as required.
• Travel to job sites as necessary.
