Job summary

Knife River Northwest is seeking a team member to perform maintenance, repair, and operation of the crushing plant to support crushing operations. The role involves cleaning, lubrication, and miscellaneous repairs, while participating in quality control to meet specifications.

You may operate a loader or skid steer and must follow all safety policies to prevent unsafe actions. Applicants should have basic knowledge of crushers and conveyors, with equipment operation experience being helpful.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of crusher operation and conveyor systems
• Equipment operator skills are helpful
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime
• Be able to travel within Portland/Metro locations
• Pass criminal background check, drug screen, physical and functional capacities testing

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and operate the crushing plant to support crushing operations
• Clean-up, oiling, lubrication and miscellaneous repairs
• Participate in quality control to meet specifications
• Operate equipment such as a loader or skid steer when needed
• Follow all safety policies and procedures to prevent unsafe actions and behaviors
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Perform maintenance, repair, labor and operate crushing plant in support of crushing operations
• Duties include clean-up, oiling, lubrication and miscellaneous repairs
• Participate in quality control to meet specifications
• May operate equipment such as a loader or skid steer
• Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed
• Other duties assigned as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of crusher operation, conveyor system and construction equipment
• Equipment operator skills and experience helpful
• Need positive attitude and the ability to work well with others and follow directions
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime
• Be able to travel, if necessary, within several Portland / Metro Locations.
• Upon job offer, you must pass criminal background check, drug screen, physical and functional capacities testing
