Job summary

Knife River Northwest is seeking individuals to perform maintenance and operations at a crushing plant in Beaverton, Oregon. Candidates will engage in equipment handling, safety enforcement, and quality control to support crushing operations.

The ideal applicants will possess basic operational knowledge and a positive work ethic, capable of flexible shifts and required testing. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of crusher operation, conveyor system, and construction equipment.
• Positive attitude with the ability to work well with others and follow directions.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on crushing plant operations.
• Operate equipment such as a loader or skid steer.
• Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures.

Job description

Job Duties

• Perform maintenance, repair, labor and operate crushing plant in support of crushing operations
• Clean‑up, oiling, lubrication and miscellaneous repairs
• Participate in quality control to meet specifications
• Operate equipment such as a loader or skid steer
• Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed
• Other duties assigned as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of crusher operation, conveyor system and construction equipment
• Equipment operator skills and experience helpful
• Positive attitude, ability to work well with others and follow directions
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime
• Ability to travel, if necessary, within several Portland / Metro Locations
• Must pass criminal background check, drug screen, physical and functional capacities testing
