Job summary

Superior Sand & Gravel, a DBA of New Look Contracting, Inc., is seeking a heavy equipment operator for the crushing crew in central Minnesota. The role involves safely operating, monitoring, and maintaining equipment to meet production specs while upholding safety standards.

You will collaborate with foremen, quality control, and drivers to ensure efficient operations, perform routine inspections, and participate in preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience operating front-end loaders, skid steers, and other heavy equipment.
• Experience in an aggregate processing or mining environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Able to work independently while having a strong attention to detail.
• Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds and working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate equipment to produce the proper aggregate according to specifications.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational/mechanical issues.
• Coordinate with the quality control team for meeting product designs, specifications, and testing.
• Load trucks with various products and communicate with truck drivers.
• Enforce safety standards and report safety concerns to supervisor.
• Maintain clean and organized pit and work areas.
