ExxonMobil is looking for outstanding candidates to be part of ExxonMobil Supply Chain (EMSC) and contribute to the success of a growing Product Solutions (EMPS) business. The S&OP Team serves a critical role in the Supply Chain, overseeing the scheduling of crude movements from upstream and downstream locations ensuring refineries, trading partners and customers receive reliable supply of crude. The Crude Supply Coordinator drives value by leveraging expertise in several key areas: interpreting and executing contract terms effectively, optimizing inventory levels, maximizing logistics value, identifying cost‑saving and revenue‑generating opportunities, ensuring timely, accurate and efficient scheduling. Demonstrated performance will lead to a career path with increasing responsibility and leadership opportunities within EMSC or other functions/business lines within EMPS, or other divisions across ExxonMobil.
This position will be located at our headquarters in Spring, TX near Houston, TX.
Job Role Responsibilities
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with traders, optimizers, refineries to forecast and plan crude movement schedules (primarily via pipeline but also across marine, rail and truck modes) in a fast‑paced dynamic environment
- Collaborate with trading and optimization teams to identify and capture market opportunities
- Develop and execute crude movement schedules based on forecasts, refinery demand, and contractual obligations
- Nominate transportation requirements to pipeline, rail, truck or marine carriers and engage daily with third parties to execute crude molecule movements consistent with contracts
- Manage inventory levels to meet agreed targets while ensuring reliability to refineries and adherence to contractual commitments
- Develop supply chain improvement initiatives to drive value chain capture and deep understanding of optimization, logistics, market conditions and operational costs
- Apply commercial judgement and problem‑solving skills to solve operational constraints
- Participate in cross‑functional teams, including weekly coordination meetings with the sites and internal discussion with Optimizers and Traders
- Effectively manage cross‑border movements, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of complex transactions within SAP
- Ensure compliance with credit guidelines, regulatory requirements and quality compliance, transportation policies and other specific internal controls
- Act as a key liaison between accounting and the business line to ensure accurate and timely third‑party payments and collections
- Serve as a subject matter expert on ExxonMobil’s supply chain for the assigned area, mentoring other schedulers, and sharing insights on logistical capabilities and constraints
About you
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Business or relevant technical field
- 3+ years’ experience in any of the following is strongly recommended:
- Scheduling bulk liquids movements
- Refining, pipeline or chemicals experience
- Solid proficiency in use of MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Desire to have a long‑term career in Scheduling
Preferred Qualifications / Experience:
- Excellent organizational skills, be flexible and adaptable in a fast‑paced 24/7 operational environment
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills; must be customer focused and have ability to build relationships
- Demonstrate commercial intensity and continuous improvement mindset
- Able to work with diverse groups of individuals across countries and effectively manage external relationships
- Proficiency in SAP is a plus
