Job summary

Black Hills Trucking is hiring for a Trucking Operations role in Bowman, ND. The position is full-time and onsite, offering a strong annual salary and benefits.

You will operate trucks, comply with DOT regulations, manage loading/unloading at various sites, and perform basic maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operations. Qualified candidates must be 21+, hold a valid CDL A with endorsements, pass a DOT physical, and demonstrate a clean MVR with a safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
• Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with all endorsements.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and an attitude conducive to safety.
• English language fluency, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Drives trucks or equipment to outlying locations as dispatched and works for extended periods as necessary for drill site requirements, customer work orders, and miscellaneous company assignments.
• Follows Department of Transportation rules and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations; reports compliance problems to supervisor.
• Reads and is knowledgeable of Material Safety Data Sheets for all liquids hauled and handles disposal procedures.
• Loads and unloads products at customer sites and disposal locations.
• Performs basic maintenance such as replacing hoses, fittings, and couplings; conducts emergency roadside repairs.
• Attaches and removes tire chains as necessary for safety and efficiency.

What You'll Do:

• Drives trucks or equipment to outlying locations as dispatched and works for extended periods as necessary for drill site requirements, customer work orders, and miscellaneous company assignments.
• Follows rules and regulations of the industry as required by the Department of Transportation; maintains current knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Reports compliance problems to supervisor.
• Follows company policies and procedures as required in the Driver and Operator Standards and Procedures and Driver and Operator Point System. Reports compliance problems to supervisor.
• Reads and is knowledgeable of Material Safety Data Sheets for all liquids being hauled. Knows proper handling and disposal procedures for substances requiring specialized handling and disposal.
• Loads and unloads products at customer tank battery locations, pipeline unloading stations, salt water and fresh water disposal sites, drill sites, gas plants, refineries, and/or substations.
• Performs basic maintenance requirements such as replacing hoses, fittings, and couplings. Performs miscellaneous emergency roadside equipment repairs, such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, and making acceptable temporary repairs.
• Attaches and removes full set of tire chains, multiple times each day as necessary, for maximum safety and efficiency in driving.

What We're Looking For:

Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities

• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and an attitude conducive to safety.
• The ability to pass a DOT physical
• Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with all endorsements.

• Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.
