Job summary

Black Hills Trucking LLC in Bowman, ND seeks a full-time, on-site Trucking Operator. You will drive to drill sites and locations, adhere to DOT/FMCSA safety standards, and perform basic equipment maintenance. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks/equipment to outlying locations as dispatched and support drill site requirements.
• Comply with DOT and FMCSA regulations; report issues to supervisor.
• Follow Driver and Operator Standards and Procedures and report compliance problems.
• Read MSDS for hauled liquids; handle and dispose safely.
• Load/unload products at various locations including tanks and disposal sites.
• Perform basic maintenance such as replacing hoses and tires; perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Attach/detach tire chains for safety and efficiency as needed.

What You'll Do:

• Drives trucks or equipment to outlying locations as dispatched and works for extended periods as necessary for drill site requirements, customer work orders, and miscellaneous company assignments.
• Follows rules and regulations of the industry as required by the Department of Transportation; maintains current knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Reports compliance problems to supervisor.
• Follows company policies and procedures as required in the Driver and Operator Standards and Procedures and Driver and Operator Point System. Reports compliance problems to supervisor.
• Reads and is knowledgeable of Material Safety Data Sheets for all liquids being hauled. Knows proper handling and disposal procedures for substances requiring specialized handling and disposal.
• Loads and unloads products at customer tank battery locations, pipeline unloading stations, salt water and fresh water disposal sites, drill sites, gas plants, refineries, and/or substations.
• Performs basic maintenance requirements such as replacing hoses, fittings, and couplings. Performs miscellaneous emergency roadside equipment repairs, such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, and making acceptable temporary repairs.
• Attaches and removes full set of tire chains, multiple times each day as necessary, for maximum safety and efficiency in driving.

What We're Looking For:

Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities

• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and an attitude conducive to safety.
• The ability to pass a DOT physical
• Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with all endorsements.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• English language fluency, verbal and written.
• Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.
