St. Bernards Healthcare is seeking a Respiratory Technician/Therapist-in-training to join our department. The candidate should be actively enrolled in an AMA approved program and working toward a permanent state license within the one-year limit.

Previous experience is welcome but not required, with strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and clinical medicine. The role involves operating IPPB, CPAP, BIPAP and other respiratory equipment in a hospital setting, with typical physical requirements

Qualificações

• Actively enrolled in AMA approved Respiratory Technician/Therapist Program.
• Experience: Previous experience desirable but not necessary; near completion of a certification or registry program is required.
• Physical: Able to perform duties in a normal hospital environment with standard vision and hearing; can lift up to 30 lbs; push/pull up to 75 lbs.

• Actively enrolled in the last quarter of an AMA approved Respiratory Technician/Therapist Program. Possesses a valid temporary Arkansas State License. Upon graduation, the technician must obtain a permanent state license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner within the one year time limit allowed by the state.
• Experience
• Previous experience desirable but not necessary. Near completion of a certification or registry program is required. Should possess extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and clinical medicine. Must be able to exercise judgment and accept greater responsibility in therapeutic procedures based on patient observation.
• Physical
• Normal hospital environment. Normal corrected eyesight. Full range of hearing. Operates computer, IPPB, CPAP, BIPAP and other various respiratory equipment. Lifts and carries up to 30lbs. Pushes and pulls up to 75lbs. Frequent sitting, standing and walking.
