Job summary

Diamond Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Non-Destructive Evaluation Inspector for a long-term, on-site role around Detroit, MI.

The position requires travel and active NDT inspections using CRT/RT and other methods, with reporting of findings to ensure safety and quality. Ideal candidates hold ASNT certifications (CRT/RT Level II) with PT certification, and have experience reading drawings and working with ASME/API/AWS/ASTM standards.

Qualifications

• ASNT CRT/RT Level II with PT cert.
• Experience with VT/MT/PAUT preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ASME/API/AWS/ASTM codes and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site inspections using CRT/RT and other NDT methods.
• Create detailed inspection reports documenting findings.
• Ensure safety and quality standards on job sites.
• Collaborate with team members and support office locations as needed.

Role Description:

This is a long-term position, with perdiem,fora Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) Inspectorlocatedaround Detroit, MI. Travelisrequired. The CRT/RT Inspector willbe responsible forconducting inspections on job sites,utilizingCRT/RT methods as well as various other NDE methods, such as ultrasonic, magnetic particles, and liquid penetrant. The NDE Inspector will alsobe responsible forcreating reports based on inspection findings, ensuring that safety and quality standards are met, and collaborating with other team members as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be qualified and certified to ASNT in the following NDT methods that will beutilized:
• CRT/RT(Level II that must holdpreviousor applicable certification to ASNT) Must have PT cert
• Certified in one or more of the following NDT methods in conjunction withCRT/RT:
• VT, MT, PAUT(Preferred, notrequired)
• Excellent knowledge of industry codes and standards, such as ASME, API, AWS, and ASTM,pertaining tovarious forms of non-destructive testing
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
• Excellent communication skills toclearly and effectively communicate technical informationto both technical and non-technical audiences
• Proof of classroom and OJT hours (this is a requirement)
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
• Available asneededdays, nights, weekends holidays and potential travel to support other offices.
