Responsibilities include monitoring crosswalks during peak times, guiding children and pedestrians, coordinating with drivers, and reporting hazards to a supervisor. Training will be provided and the position is union-represented by the PSE Union.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in safety or monitoring is a plus.
• Strong communication with children, parents and drivers.
• Ability to stay alert in varying weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, and occasional evenings.
• First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
• Position represented by the PSE Union.

• Collaborate with local law enforcement and transportation officials to enhance pedestrian safety initiatives.
• Maintain a visible presence at assigned crosswalks to deter reckless driving and promote safe behavior.
• Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay informed about safety protocols and community guidelines.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
