The Flossmoor Police Department is actively seeking Crossing Guards for the 2025-26 school year.

Crossing Guards have the responsibility for safely crossing children at designated locations in the Village on school attendance days. Work hours are two hours a day — 7:30-8:15 a.m. and 2:45-3:15 p.m. — depending on start and dismissal times of the assigned school. Crossing Guards will be trained in procedures and safety issues for this position by the Flossmoor Police Department. The Department is currently seeking dependable candidates age 18+ with strong people and customer service skills, who are able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug test, and who have reliable transportation.
