Job description

POSITION: CROSSING GUARD

LOCATION: MANCHESTER/COX

REPORTS TO: PLANT OPERATIONS

WORK YEAR: 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR

SALARY: $17.62 PER HOUR

Principal Duties
  1. This is a part-time position working 1-3 hours per day.
  2. Crossing Guards are responsible for the safe movement of school children across city roadways, traffic control at designated crosswalks, and ensuring the safety of children while crossing.
  3. Perform duties at designated posts at specified times.
  4. Report and record any unusual activity in the area of the designated post.
  5. Report and record any child's injury while on duty.
  6. Report and correct unsafe conduct of children while on duty.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Plant Operations.
