Job Responsibilities

1. Control the movement of automobiles and trucks at school crossings.
2. Place school sentinel signs in the roadway at designated points near crossings and remove them before going off duty.
3. Direct vehicular traffic at designated crossings to ensure children cross safely.
4. Control children using the crossing to ensure they conform to traffic regulations.
5. Report children who fail to cooperate to the school principal.
6. Complete reports for the school principal as needed.
7. Instruct children in elements of traffic safety.
