Job summary

Comerit seeks a skilled Data Governance SME for remote work in the United States. You will drive governance initiatives, help mature BI assets, and partner with the COE to implement scalable governance practices across new developments and maintenance.

You will create and refine essential governance artifacts, maps, and policies to ensure data assets are searchable and properly governed within the marketplace ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience driving Data Governance projects as a Functional SME.
• Experience shaping data governance programs and governance artifacts.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create or modify as-is data strategy documents.
• Document current data governance organization, roles and responsibilities.
• Document governance operations, policies and approval processes.
• Develop data architecture diagrams and data mappings.
• Inventory KPI/Report domains and Review processes.
• Define governance structures including RACI matrices and operating models.
• Create metadata repositories for KPI/reporting and related attributes.
• Outline security practices to protect sensitive information.

This is a remote position.

The Cross Functional SME Data Governance will help the client's BI platform advance in the maturity curve and assist COE team on their goal of effectively managing new developments and maintenance going forward. The client and Comerit will work together to build a governance platform to make Analytic assets searchable and establish a process to facilitate data integration with data available in Marketplace.

The person in this role will create or modifiy the following documents/artifacts:

• As-is data strategy documents
• Current Data governance organization, roles and responsibilities
• Current Data governance operations, policies, approval processes
• Data architecture diagrams and data mappings
• KPI/Report domain inventories
• Governance organization charts, operating structure, roles, and responsibilities, RACI matrix
• Process design artifacts and procedure guides
• KPI/Report review and approval process
• KPI/Report management policies and standards
• Process for defining and maintaining standard KPI/reporting structures and classifications
• KPI/Report related metadata repository with required structural, descriptive and administrative attributes
• KPI/Report related metadata record identifying the report/KPI consumer(s)
• Current security practices to protect sensitive information
