Job summary

Regular attendance at district and AIA meetings is required; after-hours work and travel may be needed to fulfill duties.

Qualifications

• Valid Arizona teacher certification or Arizona coaching certification or NFHS Level 1 certification.
• Previous successful coaching experience in the assigned sport.
• Completion of NFHS courses: Heat Illness Prevention, Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussion in Sports, Cheer/Dance Safety (for cheer), Cheer/Dance Exam.

Responsibilities

• Organize and supervise a comprehensive sports program.
• Be a positive role model for student athletes.
• Establish camaraderie among players through team building, fundraising, service projects, etc.
• Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, community members and vendors.
• May be required to travel or work outside normal hours.
