Job summary

Prairieland FS, Inc. is seeking an Application Specialist to apply crop protection inputs in Payson, IL. You will work under the Location Manager/Crop Specialist, operating sprayers and related equipment, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will record application data, coordinate with sales leads, and support field operations. A CDL within six months and ongoing agronomy training are expected as part of development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; agronomy training is a plus.
• Experience in agricultural application or related field preferred; agronomy/precision agriculture a plus.
• Strong knowledge of crop protection products, agronomy practices, and equipment operation.
• Familiarity with GPS and precision agriculture technology.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Mixes products and applies crop production inputs to fields according to rates and labels; records data.
• Maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots equipment to keep operations running smoothly.
• Calibrates equipment for accurate application rates based on field conditions.
• Maintains detailed records of crop applications, locations, and weather conditions.
• Delivers products to customers and reports sales leads to supervisors.
• Manages inventory and submits crop application records daily.
