Job summary

Prairieland FS, Inc. is seeking an Application Specialist to deliver and precisely apply crop protection inputs in the field under the supervision of the Location Manager/Crop Specialist. You will leverage agronomy knowledge and operate application equipment safely to meet customer needs.

The role emphasizes accurate record-keeping, regulatory compliance, and daily reporting of crop applications, with opportunities for training, overtime, and potential earnings through bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in agronomy or agriculture is a plus.
• Experience in agricultural application or related field preferred; agronomy/precision agriculture a plus.
• Strong understanding of crop protection input products, agronomy practices, and equipment operation is preferred.
• Familiarity with GPS and precision agriculture technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Mixes products and applies crop production inputs to fields and growing crops according to rates, procedures, and pesticide labels.
• Maintain, repair, and rebuild company facilities and rolling stock and safely operating equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment for efficiency and reliability.
• Regularly calibrate equipment to ensure accurate crop application rates.
• Maintain detailed records of crop applications and weather conditions for compliance.
• Deliver products to customers and generate sales leads while applying crops per guidelines.
• Inventory management and submitting crop application records daily with invoices or tickets.
