Job description

The Opportunity: The Crop Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Analyst will play an instrumental role in developing financial plans and conducting strategic business reviews. The role involves reporting and analyzing results, monitoring industry trends, and providing insightful reports to senior management. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for supporting decision-making and presenting performance data visually.

Location: Ramsey, MN or Chicago, IL

Work Arrangement: Requires 8-12 days/month in the office. Hours are 7:30am-4:15pm CST Monday-Thursday, and 7:30am-12pm CST on Fridays.

Starting Salary Range: $78,500-$129,500, depending on location and experience.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Produce timely, accurate, and insightful performance reports for senior management and partners.
  2. Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, providing comprehensive analyses.
  3. Assist finance leadership in building dynamic financial plans, understanding key profit drivers.
  4. Participate actively in strategic discussions, offering viewpoints and challenging assumptions.
  5. Promote a positive work environment by demonstrating cultural expectations and influencing others.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in FP&A or Corporate Strategy roles.
  • Experience in the insurance industry, preferably with crop insurance exposure.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills for synthesizing large, complex data sets.
  • Effective communication skills for engaging with senior management.
  • Quick learner with a passion for crop insurance.
  • Degree or equivalent education and work experience.
