Position: Full-Time CRNA
Shifts: Flexible 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts, on-call expected

- Main OR: 15 OR Suites, 2 Procedure Rooms, Off Sites, 14,000 surgical cases yearly
- Wide Variety: Vascular, Breast, Plastic, Robotics, GYN-Oncology, Bariatric, Urology, Orthopedics, GI Center of Excellence for Bariatric Surgery
- OB Services: Obstetrical Center of Excellence, regional referral center for high-risk maternal/fetal care, 5 OR suites, 26 labor and delivery suites, 10,000 births annually, high-risk case management, EXIT procedures, in utero surgery for fetal congenital malformations, 77-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care unit

Purpose: The CRNA provides anesthetic care for all types of patients in cooperation with the supervising or medically directing physician and under the standards of the Department of Anesthesiology and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. The CRNA administers anesthesia, monitors the patient's physical reactions, and informs the anesthesiologist of any adverse conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility and accountability for controlled substances according to department and hospital policy and State and federal guidelines
- Assist with the teaching and evaluation of newly-hired CRNAs, GRNAs, and SRNAs in the clinical area
- Administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related care in four general categories: pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation, anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence, post-anesthesia care, and peri-anesthesia clinical support functions
- Perform according to established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Review appropriate documentation for informed consent and identify appropriate surgical site with operating room staff and surgeon
- Participate in the Quality Improvement (QI) process through case documentation, incident reporting, evaluation, education, and implementation of the QI plan
