Job summary

McLeod Health Loris is seeking a dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our collaborative anesthesia team in Loris, SC. The role delivers general, regional, and MAC anesthesia for diverse procedures, from pre-operative assessment to post-operative follow-up, with opportunities to mentor SRNAs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program (COA/AANA approved).
• Certified (or eligible) through NBCRNA.
• Eligible for or holds South Carolina RN license and CRNA recognition.
• Meets requirements for ongoing recertification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operative evaluations, including patient history and anesthesia planning.
• Educate patients on anesthesia care plans and expectations.
• Deliver safe, high-quality anesthesia using current techniques, medications, and technology.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage patient care during surgery and ensure safe transition to PACU or appropriate unit.
• Respond to airway and life-support emergencies throughout the Medical Center.
• Supervise anesthesia technicians and support staff as needed.
• Participate in maintaining 24/7 anesthesia coverage through shared responsibilities.

Education

Nurse Anesthesia program (COA/AANA approved)

SC RN license (CRNA recognition)
