Job summary

Shenandoah University’s Eleanor Wade Custer School of Nursing invites applications for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Program Director (Founding). This is a full-time, 12-month, fully benefitted faculty position located on our main campus in Winchester, Virginia. Position starts Fall 2026.

The Program Director will lead the new CRNA program, shape curricula, and oversee accreditation efforts while fulfilling teaching, service, and scholarly activities in the School of Nursing.

Qualifications

• Doctoral-prepared CRNA from an accredited institution.
• Current license and active national certification as a CRNA, maintaining active clinical practice.
• Previous academic and COA accreditation experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the CRNA program and direct its development from the ground up.
• Provide visionary leadership in the design, review, and execution of the CRNA curricula in accordance with professional standards and curricular processes.
• Manage professional accreditation processes and ensure long-term program compliance.
• Fulfill teaching, service, and scholarship responsibilities within the School of Nursing.
• Contribute actively to the University’s and the School of Nursing’s Mission and Vision.
