Job summary

UNLV's School of Nursing invites applications for a 12-month, 0.8 FTE position as CRNA Program Director/Assistant/Associate/Professor‑in‑Residence. The role combines academic leadership with clinical practice and involves teaching in the DNP-CRNA program and contributing to accreditation activities.

The successful candidate will oversee education, coordinate clinical placements, mentor students, maintain records, and collaborate with accrediting bodies.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree in nursing or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Hold or be qualified to hold a Nevada RN license.
  • CRNA and required to obtain a Nevada CRNA license upon acceptance.
  • Credentials must be obtained prior to start of employment.
  • Two years of academic and clinical teaching experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Teach anesthesia program courses to students in the DNP‑CRNA Program.
  • Coordinate clinical assignments, site visits, clinical rotations, and evaluations.
  • Maintain student records during academic and clinical experiences.
  • Serve as liaison between UNLV, accrediting bodies, and clinical sites.
  • Conduct on‑site visits with students, clinical coordinators, anesthesia department members, and hospital staff.
  • Assist the CRNA Program Director with administration and program functions in the director’s absence.
  • Assist in writing accreditation documents (self‑study) as applicable.
  • Advise DNP‑CRNA students.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Clinical Placements to ensure clinical placement.
  • Maintain specialty certification credentials.
  • Maintain active practice as a CRNA.

Education
