Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - PRN to join the Anesthesiology team. The role provides anesthesia care across UT Southwestern hospital and surgical locations, including University Hospitals, with extensive coverage and a collaborative, academic environment.

The ideal candidate will have NAANA-accredited education, Texas RN licensure, NBCRNA certification, ACLS and PALS, and be ready to work across multiple sites with a team-oriented

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
• Graduate of a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the AANA.
• Licensure as an RN in Texas with NBCRNA certification for CRNA eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and administers anesthetic agents for procedures.
• Performs pre-anesthesia evaluations and plans anesthetic management.
• Monitors patients in the operating room to ensure safety.
• Records anesthesia information for continuity of care and documentation.
• Provides supervision to anesthesia students and medical students as appropriate.
• Collaborates with anesthesiology faculty and the anesthesia care team.
• Supports coverage across UT Southwestern locations as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
