Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin seeks a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to deliver general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care. The role includes pre-, intra-, and post-anesthesia duties, with emphasis on patient safety, airway management, and collaborative care under physician supervision.

Requires Wisconsin RN license, CRNA certification, APN prescriber license, and PALS/ACLS/NRP within 6 months. This PRN position offers 24/7 call, Monday–Friday coverage, and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
• Nurse Anesthetist certification (CRNA) issued by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
• Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
• DEA registration.
• PALS, ACLS, and NRP certifications to be obtained within 6 months if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Provides anesthesia services, including general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care.
• Performs pre-anesthesia examinations, ensures tests and assessments are completed.
• Performs post-anesthesia duties and postoperative care coordination.
• Responsible for narcotic accounting and distribution.
• Responds to emergencies and assists with airway management.
• May administer anesthesia under supervision; may provide labor analgesia.

Education

Masters Degree in Nursing.
