To assess patient care needs and provides anesthetic care for surgical patients. To administer medically directed local, general, inhalation, regional, intravenous, monitored and other anesthetics for surgical, obstetrical therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. To consult preoperatively with patients regarding anesthetic needs, monitors patient’s reaction to anesthesia and adjusts care accordingly.
Graduate of an accredited CRNA program and current certification as certified registered nurse anesthetist from the Mississippi Board of Nursing or in another state, or, if student, within 180 days (last semester) of graduation. Must be a certified registered nurse anesthetist at the time of hire.
