GI Alliance is seeking an experienced CRNA for as-needed PRN. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Position Purpose

Provide quality and versatile anesthesia care under the direct supervision of a physician.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

• Perform all aspects of airway management.
• Facilitate emergence and recovery from anesthesia by evaluating patient response, and selecting, ordering, and administering medications and fluids to maintain patient stability during transfer.
• Initiate and administer post-anesthesia pharmacological or fluid support of the cardiovascular system.
• Initiate and administer respiratory support to ensure adequate ventilation and oxygenation during post-anesthesia period.
• Provide post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care.
• Discharge patient from post-anesthesia care unit.
• Closely support and monitor vital functions; take corrective actions in case of adverse drug responses.
• Terminate anesthesia in a timely manner, ensuring patient safety for transfer to post-anesthetic recovery.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) required. Valid CRNA certification required.
• Minimum of two years or progressive work experience in a multispecialty physician group preferred.
• Ability to transport patients in stretchers.
• Ability to perform clinically as a nurse anesthetist regularly.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control techniques.
• Understanding of growth and development principles relevant to patient care.
• Proficient in technical (computer) skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and demonstrate self-motivation and ethics.
• Ability to manage conflicts and resolve problems.
