Job summary

Concord Hospital seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to provide safe anesthesia care across perioperative settings. The role covers pre-op assessment, anesthesia administration, and post-op recovery, in a variety of surgical and diagnostic procedures at Concord Hospital.

The CRNA will hold a COA-accredited master’s or doctoral degree, NH APRN and RN licenses, and board certification, with ACLS/PALS/BLS credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduation with Masters or Doctorate degree from a Nurse Anesthesia educational program accredited by the COA.

Responsibilities

• Provides pre-anesthetic preparation and patient evaluation: comprehensive health histories and physicals; pre-anesthesia evaluations.
• Obtains informed consent(s) for anesthesia.
• Selects and administers pre-anesthetic medications.
• Participates in development of a patient plan of care.
• Administers anesthetic agents including controlled substances; plans and initiates techniques (general, regional, neuraxial, MAC).
• Provides anesthesia induction, maintenance, emergence, and post-anesthesia care.
• Uses monitoring modalities; performs airway management including intubation/extubation.
• Provides mechanical ventilation and manages fluids/electrolytes.
• Orders/evaluates diagnostic tests; responds to abnormal findings.
• Provides acute, chronic, and interventional pain management; responds to emergencies with airway management and rescue actions.
• Facilitates emergence and recovery from anesthesia; provides follow-up evaluation for anesthesia complications.
