Job Summary

CRNAs will work in a collaborative environment evaluating patients pre-operatively, formulating the anesthetic plan, and administering anesthesia autonomously. An anesthesiologist is available for consultation and assistance if needed. The role involves providing anesthesia care for obstetrical cases, including scheduled or emergency procedures like caesarean sections, epidurals, dilation and curettage, and tubal ligations. Responsibilities include safely transporting patients and ensuring appropriate postoperative care. The position offers a full benefits package including healthcare, dental, vision, paid time off, continuing education, disability coverage, retirement matching, PSLF, and flexible scheduling.

Essential Functions:

  1. Performs pre-induction evaluation, discusses care plan with patient/family, and formulates an anesthetic plan considering patient condition. (15%)
  2. Provides anesthesia consistent with accepted standards of care.
  3. Recognizes urgent situations, responds appropriately, and requests consultation when necessary. (45%)
  4. Documents patient care accurately, maintains confidentiality, and records controlled drug administration. (10%)
  5. Performs post-anesthesia evaluation, manages care, and communicates significant issues to attending anesthesiologist. (20%)
  6. Attends departmental meetings, assumes administrative responsibilities, and suggests improvements. (5%)
  7. Contributes to patient education materials, pursues CME credits, and participates in educational activities. (5%)
  8. Educates and mentors Resident Registered Nurse Anesthetists. (5%)

Education: Master's Degree in a directly related field required.

Work Experience: 1-3 years related experience required.

Licenses: RN license (DORA), BLS certification, and CRNA certification required.

  • Proficient in anesthesia equipment use and maintenance.
  • Effective communication with physicians, patients, and staff.
  • Ability to assist with ICU ventilators, high-risk intubations, and fiber optic intubations.
  • Computer skills required.

Shift: Regular; Salary: $214,800 - $238,100 per year.
